Day 2 16th.

Up by 5.30ish had a good night’s sleep. Kettle on, heater on, 1st time I’ve put any load on my new 300ah Lifepo4 battery. Had cuppa and some porridge. Having a look where to head for today when all of a sudden the lights, heater went off just like a power cut. My new battery had cut out. Started the engine to charge and it reset it all OK. After a bit of research found out that the Battery Management system shuts it down for various things. I’m hoping it’s because I’d left my mains charger switched on, it would have been running off the battery via the inverter so like a never ending cycle. So I’ll see as I go along. Found a Tescos for brekkie.

Then set off put StoneHenge into sat nav nice steady 2.5hr drive, try not to do more than 3hrs a day. Eventually arrived at the main carpark used the toilet, looked at the prices decided at £30 it’s not for me just to look at a pile of stones.

Checked local area for campsites but there was none available, there is a few pubs but it becomes expensive eating out every night lol.

I use a couple of apps Park4Night and SearchForSites they showed that you can park on a byway with Stonehenge in the next field so here we are hoping for a good night’s kip.
