Day 3 17th

Today started not to well woke up, turned the diesel heater on to take the chill out of the air, puts the kettle on and few seconds later the Battery Management system closed the battery down.

First time with a 300AH Lifepo4 battery it has a Smart BMS which switches the battery off for numerous reasons to protect itself. Start to charge it and it resets. The book I got with it isn’t worth the paper its written on so research is needed.

So on with the day setting off from Stonehenge around 7.30am with 140 miles and 2hrs 45 mins travelling I try not to do more than 3hrs tops. Stopping for few few breaks along the way.

Called at a motors factor’s to get some cable may have to rewire water pump and fridge.

Here now for 3 nights there’s a few others here, nice restaurant open at 9am for breakfast, including electricity and WIFI at the pitch all for £16 a night. Prices not to bad but if I had 6 breakfasts and 6 afternoon meals that would be expensive. Perfect for exploring East Cornwall and West Devon tomorrow and Monday. 😊 Time to eat and relax its 12°c sat here in the sun.

Check few connections and found fridge cable loose wondering if this could be a problem to the BHS, all secure now, battery fully charged and even though I have EHU I’ll run tonight off the battery see hope it copes. 😀
