Day 8. 22nd

Nice steady ride today its says 2hrs but it’ll be nearer 6hrs lol, I’m getting a craving for arcades 🙈🤣 few places I’d like to call in on and see. Booked in a place off the site called “Pitch Up” reviews seem ok.

Eventually got to my stopover had good day scenery wise, but food wise not so good, set off thinking all these seaside places up the North Coast I’ll have a hour in the arcades, fish and chips and find somewhere nice to sit and eat them. 😲. The amount of places that are closed up, or boarded up was unbelievable maybe cos its out of season 🤷. Loads of chippys I did see were closed, cafes, restaurants, pubs that were open seem to charge you to park in their carpark. No way I’m not paying to park then pay for a meal. So I ended up stopping in a lay by and had 4 buttered scones with banana. The 2 hr journey took me 7hrs lol, went to a few places which brought happy memories back from the 80s. Was a bit late getting here, not to impressed, the toilets showers in the building at the end, went to check out after dark, there’s no outside lighting so good job I’m not frightened of the dark and eat plenty of carrots lol. No heating so it’s a no go for me lol. Had luvly meal tatties and egg followed by hot apple pie and custard, all microwaved lol. Was glad to climb into bed, knackered that’s why I’m writing this at 2.30am cos fell to sleep around 7ish just woke up. Starving. 🙈🤣
